Observe coral reefs without getting wet at the Underwater Observatory located in the Piti Bay Marine Reserve, a paradise for marine life with more than 200 species of fish and 80 species of coral. With the coconut experience program, Taste the juice and pulp of the freshly harvested coconut and try your hand at grating the meat out of the coconut shell. Enjoy dessert time with coconut milk extracted from the pulp of the coconut.
Please wear light summer clothing, and pre-apply sunscreen to enjoy the sea breeze while strolling the ocean bridge to the Observatory.
Things to keep in mind
Access to Underwater Observatory is strolling on an ocean bridge which is around 900 feet (300m).
There is a 72-step spiral staircase between the upper deck and the lower viewing deck in the Underwater Observatory.
For those who prefer to stay on the upper deck, a video monitor is available to view the marine life via live feed.
Participants learn the importance of the coconut in the daily life of the Pacific Islands through hands-on training to grate coconut meat and extract fresh coconut milk.
Please note that the activity will be unable to accommodate any strict dietary requirements. (e.g. allergies, vegetarian diets)
Free Wi-Fi connection is available both in the Visitor Center and Underwater Observatory.
Cancelation Policy
No cancellation charge applies BEFORE 5 pm on 2 days prior to the tour day.
AFTER 5 pm, 2 days prior to the tour date – a Cancellation or Reduction of participating pax will be charged 50% of the total tour fee.
AFTER 5 pm 1 day prior to the tour date – a Cancellation or Reduction of participating pax will be charged 100% of the total tour fee.
Hotel Transfer
Hotel Transfer can be added with a minimal fee for various hotels in the Tumon and Agana Bay area with advance arrangements.
Please be at the designated meeting place 5 to 10 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time.
As this is a shared transfer, please be patient in case of unforeseen delays along the pick-up route.
